Amber Tamblyn

Amber Tamblyn is an American actress, director, and writer. She was born on May 14, 1983, in Santa Monica, California, to an actor, dancer, and singer Russ Tamblyn and bonnie Murray, a singer, and a teacher. Tamblyn attended the Santa Monica alternative schoolhouse.She went to the school for the theatrical arts from the age of 5 to 14. She caught an agent’s attention after her performance in Pippi Longstocking, the agent, who was also the family friend, ended up convincing her father to allow Tamblynto go to auditions.

She first came to the limelight and grabbed national attention for playing the role of Emily Quartermaine in the soap opera General Hospital.Followed by starring in the prime-time series Joan of Arcadia,where she played the title character, Joan Girardi. She received Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations for this role. Amber launched her film career by playing little roles in her father’s film Johnny Mysto: boy wizard. She has played a character in live nude girls. Her first vital film role was as Tibby Rollins from the first two The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants films (2005–2008); in 2010, Amber Tamblyn won the bronze leopard award at the Locarno International Film Festival for her performance in the title role of Stephanie Daley.
