Damian Mavis is a Hollywood stuntman and actor. He lives in Canada. And this stunt master became an international figure for doing the stunt double role for Bradley Cooper for ‘The Hangover 2’ movie and even acted as the bodyguard for Tommy Lee Jones’ in ‘Mechanic Resurrection. In addition, the viewers have noticed him in many US TV series too. This stunt-master even became a hot selling stunt director in many Telugu and even Hindi movies. He was approached by Puri Jagannadh, Jayant Paranji, Sukumar, Veerabhadram, Sreenu Vaitla. Who can forget his boxing stunt in Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Sultan' which had Salman Khan as the wrestler? Basically, this actor who lived in Ottawa and did not find any film culture in the city but he had a hidden dream or ambition to become a film star but could not express his feelings to anyone. He was an avid movie buff, but since his city did not have any studio, he did not know how to contact the film studios and kept this dream in secret. Later on, he enrolled himself as a student at a Muv Thai Academy. He was on a trip with other students to Thailand where he watched a fantastic movie called Ong-back, and he was impressed and this film became an inspiration for him and he was so much impressed with the movie star Tony Jaa that he felt, if he can perform martial arts on the screen, why not he? This single question took him towards many film studios and he landed up being a stunt double, stunt director and later on an actor in TV series. He was involved as a stunt master in Telugu movies like ‘Teen Maar’ that featured Pawan Kalyan and ‘Baadshah’ which featured Junior NTR, ‘Bhai’ that starred Nagarjuna, ‘Iddarammayilatho’ which had Allu Arjun in lead role and much more. In the year 2014, he was a stunt-master for a Hrithik Roshan movie named ‘Bang Bang’ which was directed by Siddharth Anand. He is also a stunt coordinator in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Sultan’. The actor proved in Van Helsing, a TV series about vampires. He also got involved with another project which was an independent feature film called ‘The Beginning of the End’. The actor was a stunt performer in eight episodes in a TV show named 'Legends of Tomorrow’, and another TV show named 'The flash’' for just one episode only. People generally do not take stunt double with interest, but those who have watched ‘Sultan’ or ‘Dangal’ seriously might appreciate now the stunt master who are real heroes behind the screen.
