Kristoffer Hughes

Kristoffer Hughes is a writer, actor, scholar and teacher. He is a founder and chief of Anglesey Druid order in 1999. Also he is a 13th Mount Haemus Scholar of the order he has trained with and have published three books about paganism (a modern religious movement incorporating beliefs or practices from outside the main world religions, especially nature worship). Hughes has written a lot in association with many websites such as Hedge witch Cooks and now he is currently writing for Llewellyn Worldwide. He lives in the district of Bodorgan on Island of Anglesey in a small cottage overlooking the sea with his partner and a cat. Mountains of Snowdonia is the birthplace of Kristoffer. Being born into a Welsh family in 1971 Kristoffer speaks native Welsh. He is known for practicing special kind of Druidry which is inspired by Swyn (Welsh magical Craft).

The path of paganism is carved by his interest in folk magical traditions and Welsh magic. With Anglesey Druid order he practice and teach mytho-centric and Swyn inspired Druidry. Kristoffer has released a lot of his work with Llewellyn worldwide. His first book “From the Cauldron Born: Exploring the magic of Welsh legend and lore” was published in January 2013 and was entirely about the mysteries of the Witch Goddess Cerridwen. His love for magic and Celtic mythology can be deeply found in his pagan practices. This love for Celtic mythologies caused him to write other books as well. His other works are "The Journey into spirit: A Pagan's perspective on death, dying and bereavement". His famous fourth publication is “The Book of Celtic Magic” which was released in 2014. He is a keen and passionate student of Western mystery traditions.

He imparts his teachings in the field of Celtic Mystery traditions. He has trained with the order of Ovate, Bards and Druids and now he is its scholar and teach them. Kristoffer travels extensively throughout the United Kingdom, United States and Europe to give talks on magic and Celtic traditions in various seminars and workshops. He has been a workshop leader, frequent speaker and a writer at various camps, events and conferences. For the Welsh television, Hughes works as an occasional actor and part time for her Majesty's coroner. Anglesey is considered to be a sacred island with bountiful of soil. It is a place which is blessed by Mother Nature. Author Hughes established this Druid order to celebrate and teach the wisdom and significance of the Island of Anglesey. Other than magic we can say that Kristoffer has love for history and authencity of the culture of his native place.
