Golin was born on March 6, 1955, in the United States of America.

A Pisces by birth, this 60-year-old producer is dyslexic and a cancer survivor. He is Jewish and has two daughters, Ari and Anna. In 1981, he completed his graduation at the American Film Conservatory. Being dyslexic, Golin uses an app which reads different scripts. In 1986, Golin established Propaganda Films along with his partner, Joni Sighvatsson. It was an advertising, video production and talent management company. Propaganda Films was sold to PolyGram, an entertainment industry. In 1998, PolyGram was merged into Seagram, and since then Golin permanently lost control over the company.

In early 2000, Golin came up with another company which went on to become Hollywood’s main production house called Anonymous Content. It is located in Culver City, California. Golin is the founder as well as the CEO of Anonymous Content. With his former experience, Golin bagged the production of the top most commercial entities such as Audi, Ford, Intel, United Airlines, Coca-Cola, and Pepsi as well. Along with commercials, Golin also produces some series and movies. The Game, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Babel and Rendition are some of his famous productions. Some of the series he produced include Mr. Robot, Lifeline, Berlin Station, The Escape and 13 Reasons Why. He is the producer of 2015’s most celebrated movies, The Revenant, and Spotlight. He won an Academy Award for Spotlight (Best Motion Picture of The Year) and a BAFTA award for The Revenant (Best Film). He has also won awards for 2004 release, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Altogether, Golin has won 13 awards and had 30 nominations.

He was the only producer with two movies running for best film in Academy Awards, 2016. Golin, who prefers being low profile, is known to be the backbone of most of the hit movies and television series in Hollywood. He is one of the finest producers of the 21st century.
