A political consultant and a media personality recognized for his expertise in the U.S. election, Chester James Carville Jr. was born on 25th October 1944. Carville was born in Louisiana, the US, who got his arts and Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University from 1962 to 1966. He is a member of the Democratic Party in America. His parents Chester James Carville and Lucille, went through tough times to bring him up. During World War 2, his father was a postmaster, and his mother sold the encyclopedia door-to-door. He joined the United States Marine Corps from 1966-68, where he achieved corporal rank.
Later in 1970, he joined Louisiana State University to get a Bachelor’s degree in science. He also worked in a junior high school as a science teacher. In 1958 Gus Weil, an American author, opened the first advertising firm in Baton Rouge, where Carville was trained as a consultant. In the year 1992, he worked for Bill Clinton to ensure that he wins the presidential election. He was also honored with the title of Campaign District Manager in the year 1993 by the American Association of Political Consultants.
Later, in the year 1998, he helped Jamil Mahuad Witt win President of Ecuador. Then in 2009, Carville was hired as a campaign advisor by Ashraf Ghani. He is also known for his art of public speaking. Carville was married to Mary Matalin also is a political consultant for the Republican Party. They have two daughters, namely - Matalin Mary and Emerson Normand.
Carville and his wife wrote a book named “All’s Fair: Love, War and Running for President in 1995”. Apart from this he co-authored the best seller Buck Up, Suck Up... and Come Back When You Foul Up with Begala and wrote We're Right, They're Wrong: A Handbook for Spirited Progressives, And the Horse He Rode in on The People vs. Ken Starr, and 'Stickin. James Carville also serves as a political contributor for CNN.
