One of the Best English Romance Novelist, Jacqueline Jill Collins, came to this beautiful World on October 4, 1937 in Hampstead,London. In over 40 countries around the globe, more than 500 million copies of her books were sold. She was the younger daughter of Joseph Collins and Elsa Bessant. During the 1950s, she was busy appearing in a B-movies British series. Meanwhile, she also worked as a stage singer. After moving to Los Angeles in 1960, she even tried acting in low-budget British films. Some of them were Barnacle Bill, Rock You Sinners, The Safecracker and Intent to Kill. She swapped to writing and her first novel was The World is Full of Married Men (1968), which made its way to the bestsellers list at that time.

Eventually, due to some reasons, she abandoned writing, but, after being convinced by her second husband, she completed her second novel The Stud (1969) With time, she wrote two more novels, namely Sunday Simmons and Charlie Brick (1971) and Lovehead(1974) also made their way to the Bestsellers. She wrote 32 novels during her lifetime and all of them made their way to The New York Times Bestsellers List. Even eight of her novels were adapted for the screen, either as films or as television miniseries. Some her worth-mentioning creations are Hollywood Wives (1983), Lovers & Players (2006), Married Lovers (2008) and Drop Dead Beautiful (2007).

They were followed by Poor Little Bitch Girl, which came out for the public after it was published in 2009. The highlight about her creations was that she fictionized aspects from her personal life and connected herself completely with all of her creations. She expressed her love for Los Angeles and also communicated that the novels read by her were some of the creations of Harold Robbins, Mickey Spillane and Raymond Chandler during the days when she was growing up. The Sunday Times Rich List 2011 named her as the fifth richest of the United Kingdom. According to an estimate, her personal fortunes were at 60 million Pounds.

Jackie Collins, after being appointed as the Officer of the British Empire(OBE) Birthday Honours, she started giving her services to Fiction and Charity in the year 2013. Before her death due to stage 4 breast cancer on 19 September 2015 at Beverly Hills, California in the United States, she was diagnosed to cure the disease for almost years. The treatment didn’t cure her completely but left her solely to herself. The death of this great novelist almost shocked the literature world and didn’t allow the world to witness a few more bestsellers coming from her pen.
