Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen is an American songwriter and singer who was born on 23 September 1949. Springsteen was born at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
Bruce spent his childhood in Freehold Borough and attended Freehold Borough High School. His Dad Douglas Frederick Springsteen of Dutch and Irish origin, worked as a driver among other things when he wasn't unemployed.
Bruce said his mother, Adele Ann a legal secretary of Italian descent, was the breadwinner of their family. Inspired by the Beatles when the made an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, Bruce bought his first guitar after which he started performing for audiences with his band, Rogues at local places(venues) like the Elks Lodge in freehold.
The following year, Bruce met with Marion Vinyard and Tex who helped finance local young bands. With their help, Springsteen became the lead guitarist and one of the lead singers of Castiles. This marked turner In of the career of twice Grammy Hall of Fame winner.
