Keith Strachan is a renowned music composer and theater director who predominantly works for the English entertainment industry. Keith was born on 21 January 1944 in Consett, County Durham, England. He did his schooling at Blaydon Grammar School. Later, she studied Mathematics and Science at Queen Elizabeth College, London University. Keith then became a teacher at a boys' school, Sloane Grammar School, in Chelsea, London. But he left teaching to pursue his career in musical directing.
Finally, in 1976, he, along with others, wrote "Shoot Up at Elbow Creek,"his first musical. His best work includes a co-written song, Mistletoe and Wine, which was a UK Christmas number one for Cliff Richard. Keith has written theme music for Who wants to be a millionaire? Keith and Matthew, his son, were awarded the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers for the theme of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
He has also written the theme songs for The Detectives, and Talking Telephone Numbers. He has also provided direction for pop and rock compilation musicals for Bill Kenwright. Keith's work was recognized widely and people appreciated his efforts. Keith Strachan is indeed a talented man who has immensely contributed to the music industry. We would like to see his work more frequently.
