Christopher Gunning is a Music Composer who gave music for film and television series. He was born on August 5, 1944, in England. He has won 6 BAFTA  Awards, the British Academy Television Craft Award, 3 Ivor Novello Awards, and the Czech lion Award. He also received the BASCA Gold Badge Award in 2011 for his obligation to music. Christopher Gunning is the Grandson of the founder of Pretoria National Zoo, Dr Jan Willem Boudewijn Gunning. He is the son of Alexis Gunning, his mother is Janet, and he spent four years of life at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He took a graduation degree in Music at Durham University. Christopher Gunning has four daughters also, and one among them runs a travel blog. Christopher Gunning started his professional career at twenty as an assistant music composer to Richard Rodney Bennett for documentary films.

He has worked with Mel Torme, Shirley Bassey, Cilla Black, The Hollies, Jackie Lee, Judith Durham, Colin Blunstone, and saxophonist Phil Woods. He arranged many advertising campaigns few of the most successful were Martini (It’s the Right One) and Black Magic. He teamed up with rock musician Colin Blunstone to compose the hit song Say You Do Not Mind (1972). Christopher Gunning has composed music for Goodbye Gemini (1970), Hands of the Ripper (1971), and Ooh You Are Awful (1972). their recordings have enrolled on the Discovery Music & Vision and Albany labels.
