Jewel Kilcher is an American singer-songwriter, musician, actress, and author. She was born on 23rd May 1974. Jewel has been prestige with four Grammy Award nominations and, as of 2015, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. She was raised near Homer, Alaska, where Kilcher grew up singing as a duo with her father who was a local musician. At age fifteen, Kilcher received a partial scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, where she studied operatic voice. After completing her graduating, Kilch began singing and performing at various clubs and coffeehouses in San Diego, California.
Based on local media attention, Jewel was offered a recording contract with Atlantic Records, which released her debut album, Pieces of You, in the year 1995 and the album went on to become one of the best debut albums. The single from the album, "Who Will Save Your Soul", was placed at 11 on the Billboard Hot 100; two others albums, "You Were Meant for Me" and "Foolish Games", were placed at the number two on the Hot 100, and were listed on Billboard's 1997 year-end chart, as well as Billboard's 1998 chart. She got married to Ty Murray on 7th August 2008 in the Bahamas after staying 10 years together.
