Melissa George

Melissa George is an American-Australian actress born in Perth, Australia. Before becoming an actress, she has remained national roller-skating champion in Australia. She started her acting career through Australian soap-opera Home and Away in 1993. After that, she made her film debut in the science fiction feature film Dark City and after that appeared in many films in supporting roles as well as leads. She also appeared in many television series such as Grey’s Anatomy, In Treatment, Alias, Lie to Me, and Friends. She got named as Western Australia's Teenage Model of the Year in 1992. She also got published on the cover of Australian Playboy magazine in 1997 and headed Hollywood to look out for more opportunities. In Hollywood, she got many opportunities to present herself to the audience through films and television.

She played many major and minor roles in hit films and got the chance to work with great and successful actors and directors. She also got success in winning awards and nominations throughout her career that itself present the essence of her talent. Some of her awards are- Logie Award for Most Popular Actress, Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent, Saturn Award for Cinescape Genre Face of the Future, Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress, Equity Award for Most Outstanding Performance and also got nominated for Golden Globe and Australian Film Institute Awards.
