Laurie Holden

Heather Laurie Holden popularly known by name Laurie Holden is an American producer, model, actress, and human rights activist. She is perhaps best recognized for her roles in The X-Files as Marita Covarrubias , Dr. Hannah Tramble in Chicago Fire, Cybil Bennett in Silent Hill, Adele Stanton in The Majestic, Amanda Dumfries in The Mist, Olivia Murray in The Shield, and Andrea in The Walking Dead. She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Toronto. She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada. Holden bagged her first film role when she was a young child. Since then she has appeared in many Films and TV Series.

She has also taken part in roles in being a Theatre artist. Holden has been a part of a volunteer organization that involved in hunting down the child sex traffickers and hunting them down. This is Operation Underground Railroad, and this group has recently traveled to Cartagena, Columbia, where it helped the authorities in catching a sex-trafficking web that illegally used drugs to force underage girls and boys into prostitution.

This operation was successful with the arrest of 11 Columbians, and one person whose nationality has not been known, in the cities of Armenia, Medellin and Cartagena. They also rescued around 55 sex-trafficking victims that were just 11 years old. Holden got named as One of Ten Actors to Watch by Variety and one of the top 100 Most Creative People in Hollywood in Entertainment Weekly's It List.

She also won "The Look of The Year" Elite model search in Toronto and was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1996 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in Due South (1994), a Dramatic Series. Laurie got named as one of "Ten Actors To Watch" by famous magazine Variety in 2002. She was nominated for Saturn Award in 2011 for Best Supporting Actress in Television for the series The Walking Dead and also for her role in this series, she was also nominated for the Scream Award in 2011 for Best Supporting Actress.
