Jodie Comer

Jodie Comer is an English actress who was born on 11 March 1993 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Jodie grew up in the city of Childwall Suburb. She completed her schooling at St Julie's Catholic High School in Woolton's suburbs, where she met Olympic athlete Katarina Johnson and became friends with her. Comer has been ousted from a group dance performance because she was unable to attend the rehearsals. After this incident.  she performed a monologue in the talent show. This brought her to the attention of her drama teacher, who sent her to the audition for BBC Radio Four-play. This was her first acting job and her co-stars suggested that she could make a career of acting. Comer's professional career commenced in 2008 with a guest role in an episode of ‘The Royal Today’, a spin-off of medical drama ‘The Royal’.

She was nominated twice for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and thrice for the British Academy Television Awards for Best Actress, which she finally won in 2019 for her portrayal for Villanelle. She also received the MTV Movie and Television Award for the best kiss and Best Leading Actress in British Academy Awards among many others.
