Jacinda Barrett was born on the 2nd August in 1972 in Queensland, Australia. During her early age, she had entered a contest in the year 1988 winning the annual Dolly Covergirl, which motivated her to start modelling at the age of 17. She made her first on-screen appearance for MTV as a cast member on the show The Real World: London.
Later Barrett joined the British American Drama Academy in Oxford. Barrett made her first film appearance in Campfire Tales in the year 1997 and in September 1998 she appeared in an article for the issue of Maxim which was a television series and also continuing to appear in a soap opera called the Wind of water which did not last long. . This was then followed by her outstanding performance in the film The Last Kiss that gave her a lot of praises as she pulled off a challenging role.

Barrett enjoys skydiving and other breath taking adventure sport.
