Her father Ken Taylor is a Florida Highway Patrol Officer and mother Barbara, a former real estate magazine. Niki did the first photoshoot at a very young age of 14 with Seventeen. Her mother Barbara helped her in pursuing modelling as a career and used to mail her photos to modelling agencies. Raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida Niki completed her secondary education at Cooper City High School. At the age of 13 Niki signed her first ever modelling contract with Irene Marie Models. Niki won the Fresh Faces contest in New York City and was offered a modelling contract worth $500,000. Taylor was named one of the 50 Most Beautiful People by the People magazine in 1991.

Niki was also the youngest spokesmodel to sign a major contract with Covergirl. Niki is a very renowned model and a face for many national advertising campaigns. Niki in her career has worked with many renowned brands like Liz Claiborne, L’Oreal, Lee Jeans, Pantene, Nokia any other popular brands. The video segment of ‘Sports Illustrated’ of the year 1999 as dedicated to Niki alone. Niki then tied the knot with Burney Lamar on 27 December 2006 and the duo have a daughter Ciel and a son Rex.
