Florence Pugh is an actress of English descent who was born on the 3rd of January 1996.she was born and raised in Oxfordshire, though she lived in Andalusia, Spain for part of her childhood. Her father, Clinton Pugh, is a restaurateur(owns a restaurant) in Oxford and her mother, Deborah, is both a dancer and dance teacher.
She has three siblings; a brother by the name of Toby Sebastian who is both a musician and an actor, a sister called Arabella Gibbins who is a stage actress lastly another sister by the Name of Rafaela Pugh who is an actress known for her role in the movie 'Born Of War.’ Florence's early education was ephemerally at Wychwood School which she was part of from 2007 to 2009, she then moved to St. Edward's School, Oxford. For her debut performance, she played the role of a precocious teenager in a mystery drama, The Falling(2014).
That year she got nominated for Best British Newcomer at the 2014 BFI London Film Festival. She also got nominated for Best Young British/ Irish at The London Film Critics Circle Awards. Pugh got her first lead role in 2015 in the TV pilot for Studio City, with Eric Mccormack. For her next character, she portrayed the lead in William Oldroyd's feature film Lady Macbeth (2016). Florence was announced as a ‘star of tomorrow’ by Screen International. In December of the same year, Florence won a BAFTA Award for breakthrough Brit. In the same month(December 2016), she won The Evening Standard Breakthrough of The Year Award for Lady Macbeth. In February 2017, she won The Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress at The Dublin International Film Festival. Her next big project will be playing a role in the Marvel Universe movie Black widow(2020).
