Dody Goodman was a character actress, voice-over artist, and a model in America, born on 28 October 1914 in Columbus, Ohio, U.S. She studied at North High School, Columbus, Ohio. Later, she studied dramatics at Northwestern University. Dody was also admitted to two ballet schools, the School Of American Ballet and Metropolitan Opera Ballet School. Dody has marked her presence on television with famous exhibits like Different Strokes, Search for Tomorrow, Punky Brewster, etc. She was a part of Grease, Grease 2, Bedtime Story, Private Resort, Samantha, Splash, and many more.
She used to visit on The Tonight Show as a guest. Dody’s voice modulates perfectly; that’s why she voiced in Alvin and the Chipmunks as Miss Miller, The Chipettes’ guardian, and a movie made on it, The Chipmunk Adventure. Dody’s work was honored with prestigious awards. In 1958, she was nominated for the Emmy Award for Best Continuing Performance (Female). In 1984, again, she was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play. Unfortunately, on 22 June 2008, Dody Goodman left this world.
