Most of us have watched Harry Potter series and enjoyed the vertically challenged yet adorable Professor Flitwick. We have also gotten angry at the goblin for deceiving Harry. Warwick Davis is the actor who enacted both these parts. Besides being an actor, he is also a producer, writer, television presenter, and director. Warwick's birthday fells on February 3 1970 in Epsom Surrey, England.
He is the son of Ashley and Susan Davis. His dad worked for an insurance company. Warwick also has a younger sibling. He went to Chinthurst School and City of London Freemen's School. Warwick took birth as a patient of Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenital which is dwarfism's rare type.
He was a humongous fan of Star Wars Series. When he turned eleven, his grandmother happened to hear a telecast on the radio about the audition of Return of the Jedi. They wanted people with height less or equal to four feet.
Warwick went to the audition and bagged the role. In fact when Mark Hamill got to know about his love for the series he gifted Warwick all the figurines of star wars that he didn't already have.
Return of the Jedi became Warwick's debut movie. He then did some films but it wasn't until Willow where he got to display his acting skills as well as his bare face. After that he worked on Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, The New Adventures of Pinocchio, Harry Potter Series, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Ashens and the Quest for the GameChild and much more.
Warwick has participated in the reality TV show named Celebrity Scissorhands. He has hosted Perspectives: Warwick Davis – The Seven Dwarfs of Auschwitz, Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis and others. In 1995 he founded Willow Management a talent agency with the help of his father-in-law and actor Peter Burroughs.
Initially, it represented dwarf artists but later moved on to contend artists with height more than seven feet. Warwick is also the establisher of Reduced Height Theatre Company. He has also written his autobiography titled Size Matters Not: The Extraordinary Life and Career of Warwick Davis. The book contains foreword from George Lucas.
Warwick is married to Samantha an actress who suffers from achondroplasia and is the daughter of Peter Burroughs. They met each other on the set of Willow. First Samantha gave birth to two sons named George and Lloyd. However, they died soon after coming into the world. She then bore two more children.
