Steven Seagal

Steven Seagal, whose full name is Steven Frederic Seagal, is an actor, martial artist, director, musician, and screenwriter from America. He also holds citizenship in Russia and Siberia. Steven was born in Lansing, Michigan on April 10, 1952.

His mother, Patricia, was a technician, while his father, Samuel Seagal, taught math at a high school. When Steven turned five, they migrated to Fullerton, California. He studied at Buena Park High School, Buena Park, and Fullerton College.

At the end of teenage, Steven accompanied his dad to Japan. There, he fell in love with martial arts after meeting several great karate teachers and decided to pass the remaining of his life there. Hiroshi Isoyama, Koichi Tohei, Kisaburo Osawa, Seiseki Abe, Kisshomaru Ueshiba were his teachers.

Steven holds aikido's 7th dan degree and Shihan, black belts in Kendo, Karate, and Judo. He also operates a martial arts institution in Japan and has established several of it in different countries with the help of his students. Steven has also trained several personalities like Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva.

Warner Bros happened to see his talent and offered him to act in their movie. Steven declined the offer but instead wrote the motion picture named Above the Law. Since then he has worked on Out for Justice, Under Siege, On Deadly Ground, True Justice, and others.

Most of his films have done wonders at the box office. Steven hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live. However, his stint wasn't as successful as the other hosts of the show. Writer Vern has authored Seagalogy, a book that chronicles all of Steven's motion pictures.

He plays guitar as well and loves collecting them. Steven owns the instrument belonging to artists Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and others. Movies like Fire Down Below have featured his composed songs. He has published Crystal Cave, Mojo Priest, and others.

Steven has lent his voice to the documentary named Medicine Lake Video. Steven uses to serve as the Reserve Deputy Chief of Jefferson Parish. He also has Peace Officer Standards & Training's certificate. Steven is the winner of Golden Raspberry Award in the category of Worst Director.

In 2009, Steven got hitched to Erdenetuya Batsukh. Before her, he had married Miyako Fujitani, Adrienne La Russa, and Kelly Le Brock. From all his marriages he has three sons and three daughters. Steven also has two grandchildren. He is also the guardian of Yabshi Pan Rinzinwangmo, Tibet's tenth Panchen Lama's daughter. In 1999, PETA gave its Humanitarian Award.
