He was born in Texas, to Jim Bob Plemons and Lisa Beth. He was the second child of the couple; they have a daughter named Jill Plemons. He did his schooling from Mart area. In his school days, he used to play football. He went to Mart High School. He attended the Texas Tech University Independent School District. He did distance learning during his high school in the online program. He started his career at the age of 3 1/2 in the Coca-Cola commercial. When he was eight years old, he used to audition in Los Angeles and did small roles to support his family. In 1999, he made his first appearance in movies with Varsity Blues. In 2000, he acted in All the Pretty Horses and did a small role in Walker, Texas Ranger and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. In 2006, he appeared in the television series Friday Night Lights.
