Peter Bennett-Jones is a British film and television producer born on the 11th of March in 1955. He was educated at Heronwater School and Winchester College and gained a law degree from Magdalene College. He served as the president of the University Amateur Dramatic Club. After graduation, he toured America with Shakespeare productions and set up his theatre group called Paula Jones with Andrè Ptaszynski.
He moved into film, being a key player in the formation of Talkback Productions, he set up his own company named Tiger Television. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society, being granted the RTS and BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) special awards in 2011.
A producer and talent agent known for Mr. Bean (1990), Bean (1997), and Mr. Bean’s Holiday(2007). He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 2014 for his services to the Entertainment Industry.Â
He has served as Chair of Save the Children UK (2015–19) and as a Board member of the Royal National Theatre (2010–18) and was appointed as a deputy lieutenant of Oxfordshire in 2020.
