Michael Tronick

Michael Tronick is an American by birth. He is an Editor in films in Hollywood. Until now, he has edited twenty-five films in Hollywood. For the movies Scent of a Woman in 1992 and Hairspray in the year 2007, he was nominated for the Eddie Awards, which is the award for American Film Editors. In the Academy of Motion Picture and Sciences, he is a member of the Board of Governors. He has been a part of the Society since the year 2012. Not only that. But he is also the member of the Science and Technology Department of the Academy. He was also selected to be a member of the American Editor’s Society.

He made his debut as an Editor in Hollywood in the year 1987. His debut movie was less than Zero. The movie starred actors like Peter Berger. In the same year, he also edited Beverly Hills Cop II. This film starred Chris Lebenzon and Billy Weber. A year later, in 1988, he edited a movie starring the same actors as in the previous movie, and the name of the movie was Midnight Run. In 1990, he edited the movie The Adventures of Ford Fairline. In the same year, he edited two more movies namely Days of Thunder, starring Robert Jones, Chris Levenson, Bert Lovitt, Stuart Waks and Billy Weber, and the movie Revenge.

Another collaboration with Chris Lebenzon was in the year 1991 in the movie Hudson Hawk. In 1992, he edited the movie Scent of a Woman, and it was one of the best films in his career. The film starred William Steinkamp and Harvey Rosenstock in lead roles. Because of his wonderful editing of the film, he was nominated in the American Editor Award Ceremony, also known as Eddie Award. He continued editing films in the following years, like Volcano in the year 1997, Eraser in 1996, Blue Streak in 1999, remember the Titans in 2000 and much more. Even the famous movie starring Dwayne Rock Johnson, Michael edited the Scorpion King.
