Chennai Super Kings, who returned to IPL after two years ban started their first match with their rivals Mumbai Indians with a vibrant success. Although they lost a few matches, they easily entered the playoffs and had success there too. Today, the final match between Chennai Super Kings and Sun Risers Hyderabad started with huge expectations at Mumbai Wankhede Stadium. CSK won the toss and decided to bowl. They controlled the SRH with 178 runs and took 6 wickets. Kane Williamson, who scored 47 in 36 balls, was stumped by CSK captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yusuf Pathan made a 45 from 25 balls. All the bowlers except Deepak Chahar got a wicket each and one was a run out by Karn Sharma. CSK started its batting in style. Shane Watson, the pillar of the team, scored unbeaten 117 in just 57 balls. Suresh Raina scored 32. Ambati Rayudu finished the winning knock with a four.
