Haider Jinnah, also known as Syed Muhammad Haider, is a Columnist, Writer, and Documentary Producer. He resides in London, United Kingdom, since 2010. He studied MA in Documentary Production at York St. John University in York, North Yorkshire from 2010-11. Haider Jinnah wrote a thesis on the Evolving Impact of Documentaries in the Digital Era. He produced and directed a documentary film, Daddy I'm Fine, based on the experiences of international students in the UK. He filmed the documentary in the UK and Pakistan.
He was a Producer and Host for Aag TV and Geo TV Network in Pakistan from January 2006 to April 2007. Both are a part of the Jang Group as an entertainment channel and a news and current affairs channel. He has hosted and helped the producers develop content and presentations for the hidden camera show Gumnaam. It was one of the highest-watched shows in Pakistan. He was a Senior Producer for Aaj TV (news and current affairs) and Play TV (music and entertainment) in Karachi from November 2007 to September 2008. Both channels are a part of Recorder Television Network (RTN), an extension of the Business Recorder Group.
He worked as a Senior Producer on SAMAA TV in Karachi from October 2008 to April 2009. He wrote and produced a weekly news-based satire show, Sunday Kay Sunday, with the producer's team. He was the host of the Jinnah files segment of the show. He was also responsible for the coordination and line-up of the well-known political personalities for the show. Some of these guests include Nisar Khuro (Sindh Assembly Speaker), Haider Abbas Rizvi (Political Leader and Senator), and Munir A. Malik (Lawyer's Leader).
He again worked as a Senior Producer on Geo TV Network from June 2009 to August 2010. He was required to coordinate with production, editing, and animation teams for corporate videos. He was also responsible for managing clients like Pepsi Pakistan and Procter & Gamble. He created contracts, maintained public relations, and managed talent negotiations for the company. He has been a Freelance Writer at MContent, a subsidiary of MHoldings Enterprise in Karachi, since 2009. He wrote 104 episodes of 30 minutes each for the TV Series Don't Jealous, released in 2010. He also wrote a telefilm Bhoot of 60 minutes. He was involved in the casting, location scouting, script breakdown, editing, and development sessions with the team and actors.
