Esai Morales is an English actor who has worked in several Hollywood movies and series. He is popularly known for playing Bob Morales in 1987's La Bamba, later, Morales has appeared the PBS American Family and in the series Resurrection Blvd. He was born on 1st October 1962 in New York City, U.S. His father’s name is Esai Morales Sr. Who was a welder and his mother, Iris Margarita, was an union activist working for International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. Esai got trained in acting at the School of Performing Arts in Manhattan. In the year 2005 Esai received the Rita Moreno HOLA Award for Excellence from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors.
Morales also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arpa Foundation for his contribution as an actor and role model. Esai has a daughter Mariana Oliveira who was born on September 24, 2010. Morales always takes great care of his health and is a vegetarian. Morales’s first film was Bad Boys in 1983, about rival teenagers sentenced to a juvenile correction facility. He appeared in a 1985 episode of the TV series Fame. He starred with Lancaster in the year 1986 NBC miniseries On Wings of Eagles, playing the role of the character Iranian Rashid, the hero of a true story about Ross Perot.
