Brendan Hines is an American actor and songwriter. He was born on December 28, 1976, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of a former nun and former priest who became a professor of philosophy. He started playing the trombone at the age of 11 but left him playing the guitar seven years later. He attended Loyola High School. He performed in a jazz band and played in several plays including Sweeney Todd and Moliere's Miser. He moved to New York City where he continued to work in the theater until he shot his first feature film in 2001, The Common Sinner.
Since then, Brendan has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Mediator, Lie to Me, and Scandal. In the spring of 2011, Brendan returned to the stage to play Pip and Theo in the South Coast Repertory of Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain. He has written, recorded, and released two folk albums; 2007 "Well Done" and 2012 "Little Mistakes" His song "Miss New York" appeared in the movie "Happythankyoumoreplease". Hines is an active supporter of Bernie Sanders. Ahead of the 2016 Democratic primaries, he joined the Vermont State Senator in several events to campaign for Sander's proposal to become a US Democratic presidential candidate.
