The filming process of an animated film is completely different from that of a non-animated one. There is a list of tasks that needs to be followed keeping the sequence, time and budget in mind. The CG Supervisor determines each of those tasks and their flow to ensure a smooth execution and timely delivery. The first step is to finalize the approach of the film and design the implementation plan and work-flow for the film. The CG Supervisor eliminates all those processes which is mentioned in the mainstream procedure but is not required for the current project and lacks creativity.
They pick up separate departments due to the immense work load overall. They lead the Technical Directors and the Sequence Supervisor and assist the producer to construct a budget. Also, they take up the responsibility to supervise and review the performance of the art team. They ensure continuity in the Art Department, Technical Department, and the Production Team.
