Saptarshi Majumdar, born on October 16, is an Indian writer, director, creative producer and editor based in Kolkata, West Bengal, who works predominantly in the Bengali film and television industry. He studied at Raisina Senior Secondary School, has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and a master’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.

He completed his PhD in Advertising and Public Relations at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. He has done a diploma course in Filmmaking and an English Language Training Course. He has worked as a trainee at Everest Brand Solutions, copywriter at 123 Greetings and Meridian Communication, senior account executive at Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, strategist, writer and filmmaker at Entertainment, director at The Great Beer Films and Braincell Entertainment director at Carbon Black and Mojo Productions Limited Liability Company, and creative producer at Cherrypix Movies. He is proficient in the languages Bengali, Hindi and English.
