Indranil Roychowdhury is a famous Bengali Director from Kolkata. He graduated in English from Jadavpur University. In 1995, he completed his graduation in Film Direction from FTII Pune. From 1996 to 2000, he did freelancing writing and direction in Kolkata. He is directing and Producing Television, and TV Commercials for Tropical Blue Entertainment. His directorial debut film is Phoring. Later, he directed movies such as Ek MuthoChabi, Ekti Bangali Bhooter Goppo, City of Love, The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee, and recently, Debris of Desire. He is the writer of the films Phoring, Ekti Bangali Bhooter Goppo, and Debris of Desire. Indranil acted in the movie The Rest is Personal. In 2022, he directed the TV show Mukhyamantri.
