Mithu made her debut as a supporting actress in TV series but was noticed for a very popular serial ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ which was aired on STAR Jalsha.

The story evolved around the nursing home, and she played the character of a matron in this series. She was also cast in a very popular Bengali drama series titled ‘Gaaner Oparey‘ directed by filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh for STAR Jalsha again. The serial was showcased for a year almost from June 2010 to April 2011. She made an appearance in a TV series named ‘Adwitiya’ which was produced by Bengal superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee.

The serial was telecasted again on STAR Jalsha. Thus, she acted in many TV series. Then a streak of TV series followed, and she established herself as a prominent TV star. In between her TV performances, she was spotted acting in many Bengali movies too.
