Mikhael Movie Review

3 / 5.0

Mikhael” is an action thriller entertainer scripted and directed by Haneef Adeni. The film has the music composition of Gopi Sundar. Anto Joseph produced the film. Vishnu Panicker cranked the camera and Mahesh Narayanan edited the movie. Mikhael has the star cast of Nivin Pauly, Unni Mukundan, Sudev Nair, Babu Antony, Suraj Venjaramoodu, “Siddique,” “Ashokan,” Kalabhavan Shajon, “Baiju,” “J D Chakravarthy,” “V Jaya Prakash,” Kishore, VK Prakash, Manjima Mohan, Shanthi Krishna, Reba Monica John and “K P A C Lalitha.”

Mikhael lives with his mom, stepdad and his baby sister. His sister studies in a school. A suicide incident happens in the school and the kid’s dad takes revenge to finish the people, who are the reason for the suicide. What is the connection between that suicide and Mikhael? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Nivin’s action hero performance is good. Unni Mukundan did a good job. Siddique played his part well. The rest of the stars had done their role neatly.

The film showcase a caring youngster, who does anything to protect his family. Nivin Pauly made his action hero avatar in Action Hero Baiju. Now, he has taken one more chance to establish his action hero image with Mikhael. Although the scenes are good, some of the action scenes seem to be forcefully inserted. Haneef’s previous film The Great Father had some similar sequences. Although the action sequences are lengthy, it would definitely be a treat to Nivin fans, who had been expecting this kind from him. The second half of the film seems to be much stretched.

What’s There?

  • Performance of the stars
  • The cinematography and the editing are perfect

What’s Not There?

  • Forced action sequences
  • Lengthy scenes and punch dialogues

When people expect a decent entertainer from Nivin, the film seems to entertain only his fans with lengthy action sequences and punch lines. However, the film is watchable once!
