The Malayalam star had barely come out of a financial limbo, when the Hema Committee struck him like a bolt from the blue. He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a shooting, and an FIR has been launched against him.

However, the actor immediately labeled these allegations as untrue, and took to the social media to present his side. He mentioned in his Instagram post that he is willing to go to any extent to prove himself innocent, and he would take the legal course for the same.

Ever since the Justice Hema Committee report was made public a couple of weeks ago, Malayalam industry is facing a major crisis. Several actors, including Siddique have been accused of sexually harassing their female counterparts, and being part of a lobby that rules Mollywood with an iron fist.

Things became so bad that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who was the head of AMMA, i.e. Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, was forced to resign and resolve the entire committee altogether.

Meanwhile Nivin Pauly is awaiting the release of the Tamil movie ‘Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai’. He last starred in two movies : ‘Varshangalkku Sesham’ and ‘Malayalee from India’, both of which were commercially successful at the box office.
