Plot
Michael, George, and Roy are Ousep’s sons. Michael is a Tehsildar and George is a police officer. Both are married. Unlike his brothers, Roy is different and he is involved in social causes. As Ousep is wealthy, everyone is dependent on him. When a tragedy strikes, the brothers are unable to tackle the situation instantly. What did they do? The rest of the film focuses on this.
Star Performance
Vijayaraghavan has delivered an excellent performance as the family patriarch. Dileesh Pothan, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Hemanth Menon are impressive in their performances. Hemanth appeared very minimal on screen, but he delivered what he had to. Zarin Shihab and Kani Kusruti’s characters didn’t leave any significant impact.
Analysis
The film takes some time to establish the characters. It starts well with the right pace needed. However, it loses its grip after a few sequences oscillating between the high and low paces could’ve been avoided. Though a few explanations in the film are not acceptable, the director tried to justify his take on those portions, making the audience accept his views. The emotional moments and the performances of the actors in those moments are a compelling watch. Ousep’s character is finely penned. His stubbornness at a certain point is impressive. Yet, some characters in the film are not developed well. Michael’s character is okay, but George’s character loses a grip at a certain point. Some characters are pressurized, but the rest are not supporting them in particular sequences, leaving the audience question the makers in designing them. Aravind’s cinematography is fine, and the editing is decent. The BGM and songs are okay.
