Manjima Mohan is an Indian film actress who has mostly worked in Malayalam cinema. She did her first movie when she was just five with the movie Kaaliyoonjal in 1998. She did her secondary education from Nirmala Bhavan Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Later, she went to Chennai to pursue the degree in Maths Hons. from a Chennai college, Stella Maris College, Tamil Nadu.

She worked for three years as a child actor in movies like Madhuranombarakattu and Priyam. Madhuranombarakattu made her win the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. Though, she had no plans to resume her acting career, she loved the script of the movie and couldn't say no. Her character was Daisy, who she said was silent, poised and also a bookworm character that was very different from her real life personality. This movie was directed by G. Prajith. The movie became one of the first blockbuster hits in 2015.

This effervescent beauty, who has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films, is indeed a name to reckon with. This is not only due to her acting prowess, but also for her determination in battling cancer. Only recently, she opened up that she is very much alive in the industry; she is currently working in the flick Two Countries.    Born on 14 November 1984, Mamta grew up in Bahrain. After doing her schooling in Bahrain she did her degree in Bangalore. Mamta tested waters in modeling before entering into the film industry. She got herself associated with print ads for big names. The 2005 Malayalam flick Mayookham by Hariharan was her first film. Though the film didn’t set the cash registers ringing Mamta was noticed for her performance. Later she ventured into Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. Bus Conductor, Madhuchandralekha, Baba Kalyani, Sivappathigaram, Yamadonga, Victory, King and Chintakayala Ravi are some of the hit flicks of Mamta.    Mamta possesses commendable knowledge in Tamil, English and Malayalam languages. Hence language didn’t prove to be an obstacle for her acting in films. Mamta is attuned in classical and Hindustani music. Mamta is also an acclaimed singer. Also, she is excited to ride her bike on the roads. In fact, she aspired to be a motorbike racer. She associated herself with Kochi International Fashion Week as a brand ambassador. Maria Roy is an actress in the Malayalam film industry well known for her first film ‘Notebook’ which came out in the year 2006. She was born on November 7th in the year 1987 in the city of Kottayam in Kerala. Maria spent her childhood in her hometown and completed her higher secondary education from one of the best schools in Kerala known as ‘Pallikudum’. After she had completed schooling in the year 2006, Maria moved to Chennai to pursue graduation from Loyola College there. She belongs to a family of artists and well-known people. Arundhati Roy is her aunt, who is the author of the 1997 Man Booker Prize-winning novel, ‘The God of Small Things’. Another well-known face is Mary Roy, who is her grandmother. Although she made an entry into the Malayalam film industry with one of the best-known directors, her career was somewhat short lived. She made her acting debut in ace filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews’ ‘Notebook’ which was released in the year 2006. She was asked to play the role of Sreedevi, one among the three female protagonists who later in the film died of a miscarriage. The film was well received by the critics and as well as among the viewers and gained popularity among the youngsters. Maria had to discontinue her career as she had only completed her schooling. Later on after completing her graduation, Maria made a comeback to Malayalam cinema in Aji John’s ‘Hotel California’ in the year 2013 alongside other Malayalam film stars like Anoop Menon, Jayasurya and Honey Rose. Also, she made a cameo appearance in Rosshan Andrrews’ 2013 thriller ‘Mumbai Police’. After her acting debut, Maria had decided to follow her true passion that was dancing. For around six years, Maria had moved to the UK and later to New York. She pursued western dance styles; mainly contemporary for a three-year long course in the United Kingdom. Later she did another course in Street Jazz, Hip Hop and theatre from New York. She is currently living her dream of running a dance school with her friend Arunima Gupta. Her school offers various dance styles such as ballet, hip-hop, jazz, funk, etc.
