Plot
Nandakumar is a journalist, who has been running a yellow magazine, Padakkuthira. To improve its circulation, the magazine makes spiced-up stories. Nandakumar meets an editor of a popular newspaper who is under threat. So, Nandakumar decides to save the person. The person, who claimed to be the editor has some important information about the people in power. What will Nandakumar do with the information? Will Padakkuthira’s circulation increase or will Nandakumar land in trouble? The rest of the film showcases that.
Star Performance
Aju has nothing significant to do. His character doesn’t need a deep performance. Sija Rose just appears in the movie. We are not sure, why she signed this film.
Analysis
The film has nothing sensible, and it tests the audience’s intelligence. The characters are not designed well, even the hero’s character. If anyone gets evidence, they’ll at least try to check if it is present, even though they are not fact-checking it. Even that simple thing is not found here. The hero’s backstory has nothing useful, and it helps the makers extend the runtime. In this runtime episode, Sija appears. With a whole set of performers, the makers failed to utilize the opportunity to get good performances from them. In fact, they can’t get it, as the story itself lacks some genuine. Even if a story is mediocre, the screenplay and performances can do wonders. But that doesn’t happen in Padakkuthira.
