Prabhu Deva, the choreographer, turned actor cum director, has been getting ready for his next. Like his previous outing in Pon Manickavel, he plays a cop in the film “Musasi,” directed by Sam Rodrigues, a debutant. Touted to be a realistic cop thriller, Musasi has Master Mahendran as one of the villains. The film also has another villain from Kashmir, Imran Adil. Interestingly, Prabhu has no romantic interest in this cop-thriller. The film also has famous stars, including VTV Ganesh, “Aruldoss,” John Vijay, Binu Pappu, Udhayabhanu Maheswaran, and Leona Lishoy.

Vignesh Vasu of Naai Sekar Returns cranks the camera, and the music composition is by SN Prasad of Yaamirukka Bayame fame. Anthony is booked to edit the film. Prabhu Deva, who was last seen in “Theal,” has a lot of movies for release, including a Kannada film, Lucky Man, and a delayed film, Yung Mung Chung. “Bagheera,” Oomai Vizhigal, Flash Back, My Dear Bootham, and Poikkal Kuthirai are his upcoming releases.
