“Vijay,” fondly called Thalapathy by his fans, had not announced his political entry, officially. In the civic polls 2022, his movement, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, contested along with the biggies. It is surprising to see that the VMI contestant from Pudhukottai, Farvace, won the election, and a couple of them are leading, including a contestant in Walajapet. This made the Vijay fans celebrate their leader, who hadn’t promoted them, but his name is enough for them to win.

The founders of the leading political parties in Tamilnadu, ADMK, DMK, DMDK, and SMK, are from the cinema background, and Vijay seems to get a strong entry. The latest politician from the cinema background is Kamal Haasan.
