Plot
John works as a security guard, and lives a content life with his daughter Jenny. However, when he loses everything he could call his own, John is left with two choices: Accept the situation, or take revenge. What will John choose?
Star Performances
The only good thing to remember about this movie is the performance of Fine John as the lead protagonist.
Only he tries to make this film watchable enough for the viewers.
Analysis
Revenge dramas are not uncommon in Indian cinema. There are many classics, where the ultimate goal of the protagonist is to avenge the injustice he or his family suffered.
The same is the case with ‘Ingu Mirugangal Vaazhum Idam’. The movie revolves around a security guard, who is forced to take the law into his own hands. How he achieves this goal makes up for the rest of the film.
Sadly, ‘Ingu Mirugangal Vaazhum Idam’ is undercooked, both in terms of the story, as well as the execution. It is neither as engaging and thrilling as Drishyam, nor does it address a social issue the way movies like ‘Asuran’ did. This movie is at the best forgettable to be honest.
The length of the film is less than 2 hours, which is not bad to begin with. However, the way the makers have handled the narrative is anything but impressive. To make matters worse, some of the sequences in this movie have no relevance to the plot at all. Imagine you are rooting for the protagonist, and all of a sudden he breaks into a dance. That is precisely the problem with the narrative of this movie.
However, this is only the beginning. The motive for revenge is not clear at all, and even the acting of the antagonist is anything but impactful. The only saving grace for this movie, if any, is the acting of Fine John, who is also the producer of this movie.

‘Ingu Mirugangal Vaazhum Idam’ is a film that is best left forgotten. The idea for the plot was not that bad, but the execution of the story was far from impressive. This film is anything but a good crime thriller. Watch it only if you have lots of time to spare!
