We have seen many Disney villains who are male, but there are some great female villains too. Female villains have appeared in many Disney films. They can be live-action or animated. Here are some of the best female villains in Disney movies. 

1. Maleficent

Maleficent appeared in the animated film Sleeping Beauty, released in 1959. This film was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Les Clark, and Eric Larson. This film is about three fairies and a prince trying to save a princess from an evil queen. The voice actor for Maleficent was Eleanor Audley. There was also a live-action film named Maleficent. The character of Maleficent was played by Angelina Jolie.

2. Ursula

Ursula appeared in the film The Little Mermaid, which was released in 1989. John Musker and Ron Clements are the directors of this film. This film is about a mermaid who is curious about life on land when she reaches the surface. Little Mermaid falls in love with a prince and decides to visit him more often. She asks for the help of a witch, who is evil, and later learns about her devious plan.

3. Cruella De Vil

Cruella first appeared in the Disney animated film One Hundred And One Dalmatians, released in 1961. This film was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske, and Wolfgang Reitherman. This film is about a woman who wants to make a Dalmatian coat, who kidnaps Dalmatians, and the pup's parents are on a mission to save them. The voice artist for Cruella was Betty Lou Gerson. Yzma first appeared in the film Emperor’s New Groove. This film was released in 2000. This film was directed by Mark Dindal. This film is about a king who turns into a llama and how a peasant helps him to recover his throne. The voice artist for Yzma was Eartha Kitt. 

6. Lady Tremaine

Lady Tremaine first appeared in the animated film Cinderella. This film was released in 1950. This film was directed by Wilfred Jackson and Clyde Geronimi. This film is about a girl treated like a housemaid by her stepmother. When she meets the prince, her life changes completely. Lady Tremaine is considered the evil stepmother. Tremaine's voice artist was Eleanor Audley. 

7. The White Witch

The White Witch first appeared in the film The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe. This film was released in 2005. The main cast of this film includes Tilda Swinton, Georgie Henley, Skander Keynes, William Moseley, and Anna Popplewell. 8. Mother Gothel
