Anna Katherine Popplewell was born on December 16, 1988, in London. She is a well-known actress in the United Kingdom. Her most well-known roles include Chyler Silva in Halo 4: Forward Into Dawn (2012), Susan Pevensie in the Narnia film series, and Lady Lola in Reign (2013–2016). Popplewell has three siblings and she is the eldest of all three. Her father, Andrew Popplewell, is a Court of Appeal judge, and her mother, Debra Lomas, is a dermatologist. Both of her parents attended Cambridge's Newnham College. Her siblings are Lulu Popplewell, who acted in Love Actually, and Freddie Popplewell, who portrayed Michael Darling in Peter Pan. She attended North London Collegiate School and served as Head Girl in 2006–07. In 2007, she was accepted to Magdalen College at Oxford University to study English Language and Literature. Popplewell began performing when he was six years old at the Allsorts Drama School.
Her professional acting debut was in the television series Frenchman's Creek in 1998. She made her debut in acting in 1999 with the movie Mansfield Park and went on to play minor roles in Scarlett Johansson's The Little Vampire (2000) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003). In 2001, she portrayed Victoria in the BBC series Love in a Cold Climate. When she was 15 years old, she played Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (2005). She reprised her role in the sequel, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. In 2013, Popplewell starred as Lola, Mary, Queen of Scots' attendant, in the CW television series Reign. The movie was filmed in Ireland and Canada. She was in charge until 2016.
