Vizhiye Kathai Ezhuthu is the story of a blind woman named Sandhya and how the happiest day in her life turned out to be a nightmare. Sandhya doesn’t have a mother. She was raised by her father, a government school teacher, and four elder sisters who are now married. Sandhya’s father has always worried about Sandhya’s future, whether she would get married or not. It is safe to say that he was elated when she found a millionaire named Yuvraj for a husband. Even before the wedding, the groom’s side of the family displayed the utmost respect for Sandhya’s family.

It was all well and good until his father didn’t show up to give his blessings after the wedding ceremony. He was found hanging to a ceiling fan in one of the guest rooms. Though it appeared like a suicide, the police concluded that it was a murder disguised as a suicide, and the investigation began. Later in the series, it is revealed that it was Yuvraj and his family that was behind Sandhya’s father’s murder. Sandhya then starts plotting her revenge. After getting her revenge, Sandhya gets married to another guy, Neeraj.
