When the name Gowri Munjal comes into your mind, one can’t help but think about her height. This six feet tall actress is a Delhi by origin. Born in the year 1985 in New Delhi, she moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting interests. While on the move in Mumbai, she stumbled across an opportunity with Bunny. Bunny movie producers were looking for a new face to cast in their movie and Gowri met up and bagged the role of Mahalakshmi in this film. She was casted opposite Allu Arjun, directed by V.V Vinayak.

Bunny was the movie which paved way to her acting journey which went on to become a box – office hit. 2005 was the year which saw Gowri as the new face in the acting area. After Telugu, she branched into Kannada and Tamil movie industries too. In Kannada, she did Namma Basava in the year 2005. She played the role of Gowri opposite Puneeth Rajkumar. This movie was her debut into Kannada Industry. This was followed by Gandana Mane in 2007 opposite Shivarajkumar, directed by S. Mahendar. 2009 saw her opposite Ajay in the movie Jaaji Mallige directed by Anantha Raju. She plays the role of Uma in this movie. Mast Maja Maadi followed, where she has a guest appearance in the movie.

She has done various roles in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies too. In Sri Krishna 2006, a Telugu movie she plays the lead role of Indu. There are a few other movies, Gopi Goda Meedha Pilli, Bhookailas, she has a special appearance. In Tamil, Thottal Poo Malarum, she plays the role of Anjali opposite Sakthi Vasu. Singakutty is a drama movie starring Shivaji Dev in which Gowri played her role. There were a couple of Malayalam movies too, Paleri Manikyam featuring Gowri as Sarayu in this mystery genre movie.

With so many movies to her credit, she surely has a long way to go in the big screen arena.

Gautami Tadimalla is an actress who had a lot of competitors like Amala, Revathi, Shobana, or Khushboo, but yet this actress made her identity of her own in Tamil cinema. She was born in West Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) on 2nd July 1968. She was not beautiful or pretty in the traditional way, but she was indeed cute in many of her roles that she played with innocent looks. She had a good chemistry with all superstars of Tamil cinema like Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth. She was very much content to do all glamour roles mostly with Kamal Haasan.  But she was equally at ease when she was paired with Sarath Kumar, Sathyaraj or Prabhu. She also was noted for her brilliant performance with Kamal Hassan in films like Devar Magan, Aboorva Sagodharargal, etc. Sometimes she could rise to the occasion when the role demanded it, be it with Karthik Muthuraman, Arjun Sarja, Arvind Swamy, Murali. She became one of the top most actresses in Tamil cinema, and many of her co-stars had envied her position. She had a good chemistry with Rajinikanth and Prabhu in ‘Guru Shishyan’. ‘Guru Shishyan’ was her first film in Tamil film industry, and the film secured her a place as a heroine in South Indian cinema. However, Gautami made her debut in Telugu with the film ‘Dayamayudu’ (1987). She then appeared in films like ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ (Telugu film in 1987) with Venkatesh and Bhanupriya and ‘Elu Suttina Kote’ (Kannada film in 1987) with Ambarish. Besides, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films, she also appeared in Hindi movies. She acted with actors like Jackie Shroff, Shahrukh Khan and Anil Kapoor in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Trimurti’. The film did not do well at the box office but her dancing skills and village girl character was noticed by all.  She acted in Mani Ratnam's ‘Iruvar’ (1997). Her notable performances in Malayalam films include ‘His Highness Abdulla’ with Mohanlal, ‘Dhruvam’ with Mammootty and in Tamil include films like ‘Namma Ooru Poovatha’ with Murali and ‘Nee Pathi Naan Pathi’ with Rashin Rahman. In 1998, Gautami married businessman Sandeep Bhatia in and got divorced in 1999. She had daughter Subbalakshmi out of this marriage. Later, while filming with Kamal Hassan on the sets of ‘Aboorva Sagodharargal’, she moved closer to him and married to the actor in 2005. She later turned costume designer for some of Kamal Hassan films. She took a break from acting and again made her come back by doing talk shows in Sun TV and even acted with Kamal Hassan in ‘Papanasam’ (2015). She will be again seen in ‘Kabali’ in 2016.    


Disha Pandey

Disha Pandey is an Indian actress, who was born on 17th January, 1991 in Khetri Nagar, Rajasthan. Disha was brought up in Khetri Nagar by her father who is gazette officer with the education department and her mother who works in Hindustan Copper Limited. She has an elder brother, who is already married. Disha was in class 12, when she entered film industry. However she was advised to complete her graduation before she could continue her acting career. Disha chose arts in her degree, so she will be able to complete her degree with ease. She graduated in BA with Human Rights as a specialization. She has also done modeling for advertisements like Prince and Amul Lassi. She started her film career with 2010 Hindi film Bolo Raam. This film was produced by Goldy Bhutani and starring his brother Rishi Bhutani in lead role opposite Disha. After her debut, she has been acting in South Indian films and has already done more than 10 films in less than three years. Her second film was Thamizh Padam opposite Shiva, which did really well with a good promotion strategy and spoof content in the storyline. The film was such a success it was remade in Telugu as Sudigadu. Her Tollywood debut was in 2013 film Race.  She made her Sandalwood debut with Jai Lalitha, which is a remake of Malayalam hit film Mayamohini. The film released in 2014 and did really well with its comedy storyline. She has signed couple of Kannada and Tamil films right now, which are slated for release soon.
