Savithri is a Tamil series that aired on Jaya TV in 2013.

Savithri is a popular actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. On a fateful night, she was chased by a few goons. But she couldn’t escape the train. A train hit her and she died on the spot. As per the request of Savithri’s PA, her body was not sent for a post-mortem. When her mortal remains were kept in her house, her PA and her close relative closed all the doors, and the dead person’s mother came in. It is revealed that the dead person is not Savithri, but her daughter. Her relative scolds Savithri that she is the only reason for her daughter’s death. Why did Savithri fake her death? Why was her daughter chased by the goons? Who planned Savithri’s murder? The rest of the story speaks about how Savithri became an actress and the people who were involved in her life and planned her death.
