Plot
Samuthiram is the underworld don in Trichy. Shankar is the rival of Samuthiram. Shankar murders Samuthiram with the big support of a Minister. Ravi is the right hand of Samuthiram and Guna is his supporter. After the death of Samuthiram, Ravi appoints Guna to safeguard Niranjana, the daughter of Samuthiram. Niranjana falls for Guna and after much hesitation he accepts her. Niranjana doesn’t want Guna to be a gangster and wanted him to be a family man. Guna is ready to settle in his life with Niranjana. But, this doesn’t go well with Niranjana’s family and Ravi. Ravi couldn’t accept as he feels that Niranjana is his mentor’s daughter and she should only be protected and not to be accepted as a life partner. So, Ravi wants to kill Guna and at the same time, Shankar intends to see the death of Guna. What happens to Guna? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Vikram Prabhu has done his best as the hero. He has excelled in the action sequences. Manjima comes as a homely girl and attracts everyone. Tara has done justice to her role as Manjima’s mom.
Analysis
S R Prabhakaran has chosen an age-old story that has the hero romancing his mentor’s daughter and the villains chasing him. However, Prabhakaran managed to make the audiences glued to the seats in the first half.

Verdict
Sathriyan is neither a great movie not a boring one. It could be watched once for Manjima – Vikram Prabhu romance, Yuvan’s BGM and Sivakumar’s cinematography. Sathriyan…. Average Success!
