Venkatram Mohan

Venkatram Mohan is an Indian film editor who works mainly in the Tamil movie industry. He was part of the critically acclaimed movie Radiopetti released in 2015.

Mohan's hometown is Pollachi, in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, and he is residing in Chennai. Mohan did his schooling in different schools in Coimbatore till 10th grade and completed his higher education at Shenbagam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pollachi, and holds a gradation in Commerce from the University of Madras, Chennai. Mohan got married to Prathika Ravichandran on 9th April 2017. 

After his graduation in 2009, he joined SASEL India as a Video Editor. In 2012, he quit his corporate job and joined the team of Editor, Mr. Gopal Balaji. Venkatram Mohan worked in movies such as David, Haridas, and 1 - Nenokkadine (Telugu). He also functioned as a Digital imaging technician of the film Linga, which starred actor Rajinikanth in the lead. Mohan went on to work in the editorial department of several prominent editors in Tamil cinema. His first bilingual movie was '180', which starred actor Siddharth in the lead. It was his first film with Late editor Kishore T.E. Mohan worked as assistant editor of the Malayalam film Kurukshetra (2008).

He operated as one of the editors of the independent film called Good Night Good Morning, directed by Sudhish Kamath. With an independent film called Radiopetti (2015), Mohan made his debut as a primary editor. The film screened at Busan International Film Festival, won an award under the New Current competition category. It also got honored as the Best Film at Chennai International Film Festival. Since then, he has been working as a freelance film editor. Mohan made his feature film debut with the movie Sathriyan (2017), starring actor Vikram Prabhu and Manjima Mohan. He has also worked in many promotional videos. Recently, he edited the making video of the film Soorarai Pottru. The makers published on YouTube as the film's promotional material.

Apart from films, Mohan has a great interest in movie making too. In May 2019, Mohan directed and edited the music video of the song Marumunai composed by Sundaramurthy KS Sundaramurthy KS is an Indian born film Music Dire >> Read More... . He was the idea behind the entire concept of the video. Mohan hopes to direct a feature film soon. Mohan is a big-time movie buff and loves watching stand-up comedy shows. He enjoys traveling to new places.
