Tamil Movie Actor Soundararaja

Soundararaja is a movie actor in the Tamil Film Industry. He has also produced some short films to increase his horizon of work. He was born on August 11 of the year 1983. His hometown is Usilampatti in the district Madurai.

After he had graduated from school, he started studying technology in a college named Bharath Nikethan Engineering College in his native town itself in 2004. He has also stated that he was not very active in school and was always absent from any sport or extracurricular activity. After he had received his degree as an engineer, he was recruited by Invensys India Pvt Ltd.

After viewing his exceptional work, he was sent to Singapore in 2005, France in 2006 and then Qatar in 2007. Unhappy with his career choice, he came back to India in 2008. He finally joined the industry in 2016. He launched his own Production Company along with one of his close friends – M Manikandan. The company was called Madurai Touring Talkies. He also invested money in share markets and started attending an Acting School in 2010. He, along with his business partner, produced many short films. Raavanm, Petticase, Thuru, Wind, Aram amongst many others are the films produced under his banner. In the initial stage of the new profession, he worked as a background actor and played minor roles as the supporting cast in movies for about five years.

Some of his notable short roles were in the series Penn which started in August month of 2008 and his part in Nalaya Iyankunar which aired on Kalaignar TV. Following his roles in Vettai, Pattarai and S. R. Prabhakaran’s 2012 flick Sundarapandiyan, he was noticed and henceforth cast by the Director Ponram in Varunthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Prabhakaran was a real-life mentor for Soundararaja and helped him to pave an independent path in the industry. After Sundarpandiyan, his second negative role was in Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda which was released in 2013. He played the role of a shepherd in this flick.

Popular actors Vishal and Siddarth publically appreciated his work in this movie too. In the year 2014, Soundararaja was seen in Bharathan’s directorial work Athithi. In this year, he also did two other films - Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani and Poojai. In the year 2016, Soudararaja has worked in small roles in about three to four flicks and also in the post-production of four to five films. He has received the Bharath Cine Award (Tamil Nadu) for the Best Debut Villian and Techofes Award for the best negative role.
