Star Performance
Priya Bhavani Shankar has got a huge space to perform. She excelled in the emotional scenes. Arulnithi is good in emoting in intense sequences, yet he didn’t get a strong role. Tsering Dorjee scores well among the supporting stars. Arun Pandian, Vettai Muthukumar, and Meenakshi Govindarajan are notable for their performances.
Analysis
Usually, the sequels to the hit films create huge buzz, and only a few films stay true to the first parts. Demonte Colony 2 tried its best to maintain the thrill that Demonte Colony gave. The screenplay is written with perfection. The execution is fine and the director keeps the audience glued to their seats. The twists are well-executed and impress the audience. The climax makes the audience expect a possible sequel. The lead characters are designed well, especially that of Priya Bhavani Shankar. Arun Pandian’s role could have been developed better. The confusing point in the script is its non-linear narration. Sam CS’s music is good, but at times it sounds a bit loud. However, the BGM elevates the thrill and horror in certain sequences. The visuals are pretty decent. The VFX works could have been better.
