A Look At The Indian Movies Releasing This Diwali

Several movies are releasing this Diwali and lot of hype has been given to them. Being a Diwali release one expects the movie to fulfill their expectations. The actors and the full unit too will keep their fingers crossed. Now, let’ s see the top releases of Indian films this Diwali 2016.

1. Kodi

Kodi has Dhanush and Trisha Krishnan sharing screenspace for the first time and Anupama Parameswaran plays the second female lead. This hyped political thriller has garnered lot of interest since Dhanush takes up a dual role. One is that of a college lecturer while the other is that of a politician. This flick is directed by R S Durai Senthilkumar who has also penned the script. Going by the trailers the movie also promises some romance element and family sentiments. With the trend of Tamil film being released in Telugu also Kodi is also set to release in Telugu in the name of Dharma Yogi. The film is the production venture of Grass Root Film Company. Santhosh Narayananhas composed scores for this film. Well, we wish the entire team of Kodi all the best for its success.

2. Kashmora

Kashmora, which is the costliest film in Karthi’s career, is set to clash with Kodi this Diwali. The movie, which is a dark fantasy thriller, is also releasing in Telugu; Karthi has a good fan base in Telugu too. Karthi is having great hopes on this film in which he shares screenspace with Nayantara and Sri Divya. The direction of this film is by Gokul, and Karthi will essay three roles with different shades. The movie was also talked about a lot recently since it was compared a lot with Baahubali. Karthi asked the audiences not to compare the film with Baahubali; yet he promised that the flick will be a treat to the eyes. The flashback scenes of Kashmora are hyped to be the major assets of the film. Santhosh Narayanan has scored music for this flick. This is not all…it is learnt that the flick has some good VFX effects and about 25 companies got associated with the film to work on these effects. The movie is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures besides PVR Cinema. We learn that there is enough humor in the movie but as for the love angle we have to wait and watch for the movie to release.

3. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Well, in the Hindi film category Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay are going to be released this Diwali. Ae Dil hai Mushkil is touted to be a romantic drama and also the stars who have watched the film cannot hold their praise for the Karan Johar directorial venture. Aishwarya Rai looks stunning in the trailers while Ranbir and Anushka are at their usual natural best. The music of the film by Pritam Chakraborty is indeed good with the title track and Bulleya pleasing to the ears. Also, the cast and crew of the flick are doing their best to promote the movie which is produced by Dharma Productions. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally accepted a Karan Johar venture since she couldn’t allot dates for his previous films earlier, for which she was approached. It should be noted that the appearance of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan sparked a nation-wide debate about featuring stars across the border in Bollywood films. As per director Karan Johar the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is not in fact about infidelity. Well, now we have to watch the film to know whether we have to appreciate Karan Johar for the content and execution of the film.

4. Shivaay

And now Shivaay…this is the second directorial endeavor of the talented Ajay Devgan. Earlier he had diected U Me Aur Hum. The action adventure drama has been filmed in Bulgaria’s Balkan mountains. Going by reports and trailers Ajay Devgan is geared up to take Indian cinema to a big level. Ajay Devgan has also produced Shivaay which has some hair-raising action sequences. The trailer shows some things like how an ordinary man changes to protect his loved ones. The movie has Sayyeshaa Saigal and Erika Kaar debuting in Hindi. Abigail Eames also appears in the flilm. Mithoon has composed music for this flick. By now it is certain that Shivaay will give you some great stunts with never-seen-before superb locales.

5. Kadalai

Kadalai is a small budget Tamil film which is releasing this Diwali. It has RJ-turned television anchor Ma Ka Pa Anand as the male lead with gorgeous Aishwarya Rajesh as the female lead. Yogi Babu, Pon Vannan and John Vijay are also in the casting. The music of this flick is composed by Sam CS (of the film Mellisai fame). Going by reports, the movie has a balanced dosage of action, comedy and romance.

6. Thiraikku Varadha Kadhai

Majority of the films in Indian cinema are made with importance given to star actors. But then and there films giving importance to women have also been released. Thiraikku Varadha Kadhai, which is releasing this Diwali, is one such film, which is women-oriented. Well, this is indeed a rare attempt by director Thulseedas, who is a Mollywood director. The movie will be released in both Tamil and Malayalam. The film has the evergreen Nadiya, Kovai Sarala, Ineya, Aarthi in the lead roles amongst others. So this women-centric movie will be a different treat for you this Diwali. The producing of the movie is done by K Manikandan. Nadiya essays a police commissioner role in this flick and MG Sreekumar has given music.

7. Mukunda Murari

Mukunda Murari is the Kannada film releasing this Diwali along with another Kannada venture Santhu Straight Forward. Mukunda Murari is the remake of the Hindi flick Oh My God starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The much-hyped movie is produced by veteran filmmaker Jayashree Devi. The original flick had a subject that was appealing and so it was made in Kannada too. Two top-notch actors, Upendra and Sudeep are sharing screenspace in this flick. The uniqueness is that these two great actors are sharing screenspace for the first time. Nikita Tukral, Ishita Vyas and P Ravishankar also appear in this film.

8. Santhu Straight Forward

The happening couple of Sandalwood, Yash and Radhika Pandit appear together in a film for the fourth time with the Diwali release Santhu Straight Forward. The trailer of this much hyped flick has garnered good response; it is interspersed with action scenes and punch dialogues. And not to miss the humor and romantic elements in the trailer. Neenasam Ashwath, Shaam, Devaraj and Shobaraj are also part of the film. Santhu Straight Forward is directed by Mahesh Rao, who has also written the story. K Manju, a reputed filmmaker, has produced the flick while V Harikrishna has composed the music. Now let’s see whether the film manages to entertain us.
