Plot
The government acquires agricultural lands from the farmers to extend the roads for smooth and quick transportation. Some farmers are against this land acquisition and start fighting against the government. They file a case against this acquisition. What happens to those farmers? Were they given justice? The rest of the story deals with this social issue.
Star Performance
Supergood Subramani excels well in his performance-oriented role. His expressions are flawless, especially in the emotional scenes. Pala Karuppiah did justice to his role as a politician. Hello Kandasamy and Vaiyapuri played their roles perfectly. Ashok did his role as an antagonist perfectly. Ithaya Nilavan appears in a small, yet significant role.
Analysis
The script is a known one, and it is based on a social issue. The land acquisition issue is well-known to the people, as many lost their land while the government extended the roads on the highways. The characters are neatly penned. The screenplay is decent, though a little slow, due to its genre. The makers wanted to educate the youngsters about agriculture and the farmers, and hence this script. Though there were a lot of films shot in this genre, this script deals with it from a different perspective. The makers openly criticized the officials and other important people who were involved in this land acquisition and its related process. The visuals and music are okay. If this theme had a big hand in playing an important role and to promote the film, it would’ve reached better.
