Plot
Set in a small village where a couple of misfits pursue something precious causing them to be in constant chaos.
Star performance
Dignath delivers a solid performance as a naive boy just wanting to make ends meet. Sharmiela Mandre, Rangayana Raghu, and Gopal Krishna Deshpande are also splendid in their portrayals.
Analysis
This film’s biggest strength is its cast because they have elevated a mediocre script with their performances. As the film is a comedy genre there is a need to keep the audience in a laugh mode, this film does that momentarily. Even the funniest sequences come from the character traits rather than the dialogues which works for the film in many ways never making the film dull. The actors have played their parts well and are the driving force for this film because their portrayals have saved this film. Now let's get to brass tacks, the film has a pacing issue, which will frustrate the audience, the film takes time to establish the premise. The story mainly revolves in the second half which makes the first half pretty bland. The film is not exactly a laugh riot even though the actors try to salvage it but it's a bummer either. The last 15 min of the film will impress or stunt the audience. The cinematographers have also elevated the intoxicated world of the film. Powder is an average comedy fair with fantastic performances and an astounding climax.
